A druid borne of neglect. Raised very comfortably, a later feud between the elven and human sides of his family left him disowned in his twenties. He chose to wander only to stumble into an abandoned mine. Unbeknownst to him he had tripped into the home of a very protective family of black bears, who tore at him so fiercely that his body and spirit still show the scars. Far from killing him, the bears left him cast aside when Yorword was too weak to even writhe in pain. After many weeks, he gained strength and renewed life, and, with carefully distanced study, he learned from the sleuth of fur to appreciate if not love the cruel but just parenthood of nature. Much later, he would often refer to this awakening as “Yorword against Mine.” Fifty years in the forest later has changed him to be less sociable around other humanoids, though, some part of him still wishes he was accepted. This desire often manifests in ways that would otherwise startle, annoy, or confuse most other creatures. But that will not stop him from trying, nor will it stop him from demonstrating the true power, beauty, and honor found in nature, and the lessons that can be gleaned therein.
