- After having driven off Chryaxas, the heroes were reminded that if The Blue had conscripted Chryaxas to interfere with us, then she considered The Undaunted a serious threat
- The Blue had send The Witch of Marblehall to try and wrest control of The Stone Thief for her own designs (swallowing Drakkenhall would allow her to move (inside Drakkenhall, but also inside The Stone Thief))
- The Undaunted also stopped her descendent (Casila Artalin) from destroying some of The Archmage‘s wards that would have alerted the powers if The Red was moving through the Empire again.
- Not only was Rasputin working with Chryaxas at the behest of The Blue, but…
- Rasputin was also working with other survivors of The Stone Thief:
- Pheig
- Nioba Shieldspinner & The Ghost of Peridot
- … and more
- but the heroes focus on their pursuit of Rasputin for now…
- Legion focuses again on the magic that allowed him to track Rasputin to these huge caverns in The Shadowfell, and the tenuous grasp on the elusive shadow dragon’s trail persists
- As the heroes creep along the dark, winding tunnels, they are set upon by more of Rasputin‘s minions!

- Having faced him more than once before, the heroes summoned all their power to defeat his defneses and their savagery caught him off-guard
- Rasputin is dead – his body disperses into The Shadowfell around him
